HOMESTEAD, FL (Nov. 21, 2011) —Geoff Bodine finished the 2011 NASCAR season by placing in 30th place this weekend in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Championship at the Homestead-Miami Speedway. He was piloting the No. 36 Luke & Associates (Luke) Chevrolet. “Geoff has made vast improvements throughout the season, and he did a great job this weekend at Homestead. All of us at Luke could not be any prouder of him,” Luke’s President and CEO, Jim Barfield said. This season’s finale marked Bodine’s sixth race with Luke as the primary sponsor. Bodine has been a NASCAR driver since 1979, and in June, the partnership between Luke, Bodine and Tommy Baldwin Racing (TBR) formed to bring the Bodine and Luke Chevrolet to the track. Recently, Bodine swapped numbers and crews with TBR teammate Dave Blaney in hopes to give the team a better chance to qualify. Bodine will be holding a meet and greet on Monday, Nov. 21, at Geoff Bodine’s Honda in Melbourne. Fans of all ages are welcomed to attend and meet Bodine and see his No. 36 Luke Chevrolet straight off the Homestead-Miami Speedway track. Event will be from 4 to 8 p.m. |
